These terms govern your use of Animal Database UK (“the Service”, “we”, “us”). The Service is operated by Lloyd Digital UK Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. [COMPANY_NO]) — Animal Database UK is a trading style of Lloyd Digital UK Ltd. By signing up you accept these terms; if you don't, please don't sign up.

1. The Service

Animal Database UK is a software-as-a-service platform for animal collections — falconers, breeders, AAL-licensed centres, zoos and wildlife sanctuaries — to record and manage their animals, weighings, medical history, sponsorship and (where enabled) HR data. We host the platform; you bring your data.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Anyone signing in with your credentials is treated as you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has gained access.

You must be at least 18 to open an account. The person signing up confirms they're authorised to bind the organisation they're signing up on behalf of.

3. Subscriptions, billing & trials

Subscriptions auto-renew on the cycle (monthly or yearly) you picked at sign-up. We'll bill the card on file on each renewal date until you cancel. You can change plan, switch between monthly and yearly, add or remove modules, or cancel from the Billing screen any time. If you switch cycles mid-term, we'll pro-rate the unused portion of your current term as a credit and start a new term on the new cycle from the date of the switch.

Trial accounts get the first month free on monthly plans — we save the card at sign-up but don't charge it during the trial. The first charge lands 30 days from sign-up; you can cancel before then to avoid being charged at all.

Yearly plans charge in full on the sign-up date and the next renewal date one year later. There is no part-year refund except as described in our Refund Policy.

Add-on modules (HR, Sponsorship) are billed alongside your plan. Adding an add-on mid-cycle bills pro-rata for the remaining days; cancelling stops billing at the next renewal.

Prices are shown in GBP. Where VAT applies, your invoice will show it separately.

4. Acceptable use

You won't use the Service to break the law, to harass anyone, to upload malware, or to circumvent technical limits we've put in place (rate limits, animal-count caps, etc.). You won't try to reverse-engineer the Service or resell it.

5. Your data

You own the data you upload. We store it on your behalf so we can deliver the Service. We will return or delete your data on request when you close your account (see the Privacy Notice for retention specifics).

You're responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. We don't validate identifiers, medical content, weighing values, etc. for accuracy — that's your operational responsibility.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee any specific uptime number. We may take the platform offline for maintenance with reasonable notice. Critical fixes may go out without notice.

7. Cancellation & termination

You can cancel anytime from the Billing screen — your subscription stays active until the end of the current paid period, then stops auto-renewing. After your subscription ends, your account is locked but the data is retained for 90 days. During that window you can email us to request a copy of your data or to reactivate the account; after the 90 days, the data may be permanently deleted (see the Privacy Notice for retention specifics).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms (e.g. fraud, repeated payment failures, abuse). We'll usually email you first.

8. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we exclude indirect, consequential and lost-profit damages. Our total liability for any twelve-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else law forbids us excluding.

9. Changes

We may update these terms — when we do, the “Last updated” date at the top changes. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England & Wales.
