Refund Policy

We want signing up to be low-risk. This policy covers what happens if you change your mind, hit a problem, or just decide Animal Database UK isn't right for you.

1. Monthly plans — first month

Monthly plans include a 30-day free trial. You won't be charged anything during the trial. If you cancel before day 31, no money changes hands.

2. Monthly plans — after the trial

If you cancel a monthly plan after the trial ends, your subscription stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for, then stops auto-renewing. We don't refund part-used months.

3. Yearly plans

Yearly subscriptions are paid up-front and are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel a yearly plan, your subscription stays active for the rest of the year you've already paid for, then stops auto-renewing.

4. Add-on modules

HR and Sponsorship add-ons follow the same rules as the main plan. Adding an add-on mid-cycle charges pro-rata for the remaining days; removing it stops billing at the next renewal but doesn't refund the current cycle.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails we'll retry it on day 4 and again on day 7. If all three attempts fail, the account is locked until you update your payment details. We don't charge a fee for failed payments.

6. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank, your account will be suspended pending the outcome. We expect you to raise any concerns with us directly before going to your bank — chargebacks raised without prior contact may result in your account being closed and any future signup refused.

7. How to request a refund

Refunds are not automatic. Each request is reviewed against this policy before any decision is made and refunds are only issued where this policy clearly provides for one.

To request a refund email support@animaldatabaseuk.co.uk from the email address on your account, with: (a) the charge or invoice number, (b) the date of the charge, and (c) the specific reason you're requesting a refund. Incomplete requests may delay our response.

If we agree the refund is due under this policy, it will be processed to the original payment method within 5 working days of approval.
